Surgical intervention can prevent people who have leprosy from sustaining long-term disabilities, which as well as stopping them from earning income, can have a huge impact on both their mental health and their daily lives. 

Feedback from families has shown us that there is a genuine need for an affordable and beautiful teddy bear to keep either precious memories or perhaps baby ashes.

The bear is made from luxury super-soft fabrics with high quality detailing and finishes. He is hand – washable and carries the CE standard mark so is safe for all age groups.

Mentoring Young Creatives is a programme that matches a vulnerable young person with a well suited, experienced mentor to help support and guide them. Mentoring can help to reduce the rates of mental health issues by providing access to support with a like minded individual, helping young people to feel less alone in their mental health struggles. 

Our professional counsellors help guide parents in their journey through grief and ensure that they communicate and understand one another as many deal with loss in different ways.

When our young people arrive with us at YMCA Derbyshire, they often have little to no belongings. Being able to provide them with hygiene products for their first few weeks living with us is essential.

This pack will include; shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush and paste, deoderant and period products for women.

Our new skate school project has been really busy in it's first few weeks. It's great to be welcoming young people back into the youth centre again. We'd really like to add to the equipment we have on offer and this donation will enable us to purchase a new slappy box. What's that? well its a grind-able box for skateboarding, that allows the skaters to 'slap' or ride straight onto it, much more easy and accessible to new skaters!

It is a huge donation so our young people are putting their subs towards the box too (it's total cost is £175). The box will be dedicated in your name if you wish, or just a personalised message and create years of memories and fun in our Skate School.

We offer free therapy sessions for children and young people struggling with various mental health conditions. Your gift will help a child or a young person to get free therapy sessions that can make a lasting impact on their lives.

How do we do it?

We do this by providing the right information and giving access to the right therapists, as well as dedicating all our profits towards funding therapy for those who cannot afford to pay.

We offer free mental health peer support sessions for children, young people, and their parents. These sessions help young people better understand their mental health challenges and navigate through the recovery journey. Your gift will fund a free peer support session. Sometimes, it’s just one session that can save a young person from self-harm. Over the last six months, we have supported 1430 families across the UK.
